Join us for a fun-filled evening exploring the world of frogs in the Ginninderry Conservation Corridor with FrogWatch ACT.
This event is perfect for nature lovers of all ages.
Grab your beanie, warm coat, boots, and your favourite torch, and join us for a magical evening of frogs, facts, and hot choccie under the stars.
Bring your burning froggy questions, learn some truly ribbiting facts, and listen for the lovesick calls of frogs as we explore a local pond by night. It’s a curious, and unfrogettable way to connect with nature this spring.
Please arrive 5:50pm to allow 10 mins to park and find the group at the Shepards Lookout Carpark. We will walk down to the pond as a group.

Get ready for FrogWatch annual ACT and region FrogCensus.
Before you head out to record frog calls and collect data, make sure to attend a fun and informative training session. You’ll learn everything you need to know about FrogWatching – the when, where, how, and why. No prior experience needed to become a real citizen scientist!
Just dress warmly, wear sturdy shoes, and bring your favourite torch.
Activate all your senses, identify calls of different frog species and learn how you can be involved in citizen science through the annual FrogCensus.
Rug up, wear comfortable enclosed shoes, and bring a torch.
Training Details:
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and settle in as we start at 6:00 PM sharp)
What to expect: A mix of engaging theory, fun frog facts, and hands-on frog ID practice during a guided walk to a nearby habitat.
Extras: Unlimited cuppas and freddo frogs!
