Canberra’s premier sustainable development has once again proven its market appeal, with over two-thirds of available blocks in the most recent Macnamara release selling within just 48 hours of hitting the market.

In a testament to Ginninderry’s growing reputation as one of the capital’s most sought-after residential communities, eager buyers secured 53 of the 78 blocks released, demonstrating the strong demand for sustainable, connected living options in the region.

Stephen Harding, Development Director at Ginninderry, attributes the success to the community’s holistic approach to modern living.

“This weekend’s result speaks volumes.’ Stephen says.

“People are increasingly looking for more than a block of land—they’re looking for a lifestyle, a connection to nature, and a sense of community. That’s exactly what Ginninderry delivers.”

Among the successful purchasers was Mr. Patel, who secured the first block on Saturday morning.

“I was nervous going in, but I was so relieved when my number came up early.” says Mr Patel.

“I’ve been following Ginninderry for a while because I love how it feels like you’re part of something bigger here, and I can’t wait to start building”

The release also attracted siblings Aleksa and Kristina Stojanovic, who made the strategic decision to purchase adjacent blocks.

“We’ve been talking about buying for a while, and this was a great way to take that step together,” Kristina explained.

“It gives us the support of families nearby and a solid start in the market—plus, we both loved the idea of being part of a community like Ginninderry.”

The newly released blocks in Macnamara range from 420m² to 597m² in size and feature a delayed settlement timeframe of April to June 2026, providing buyers with ample time to plan their dream homes in this award-winning community.

Location advantages are significant, with the release situated within walking distance of the soon-to-open Strathnairn ECEC – Year 6 school (scheduled for 2026), a planned local center, central parklands, and the expansive Ginninderry Conservation Corridor—which will ultimately encompass 596 hectares of protected land along the Murrumbidgee River and Ginninderra Creek.

Purchasers receive additional benefits including complimentary front landscaping, construction waste management services, and personalized house design consultation sessions—all adding significant value to their investment.

For those who missed out on the recent release, Ginninderry still offers a limited selection of land-ready blocks. Many of these come with an attractive Better Living Rebate valued between $20,000 and $62,000, providing further incentive for prospective buyers.
