On 17 April 2015, the NSW Government announced that the Yass Valley Council’s application for the rezoning of the Parkwood land had merit to proceed to the next step of the rezoning process. This “gateway” decision in the NSW planning process included a requirement to undertake some further work on a number of aspects of the proposal prior to the commencement of community consultation.
Community consultation on the NSW rezoning at this stage is anticipated to occur in late 2017 with a decision likely in 2018.
Subject to rezoning, no development will occur in NSW until at least 2033.
A new community information display has opened at Wins Creek Meadery in Murrumbateman as part of ongoing engagement with the local community for the Parkwood Planning Proposal. Click here to learn more.
