Locals of Strathnairn and surrounding suburbs in West Belconnen are invited to a weekly community yoga class at The Link, Ginninderry. ABOUT This class is open to everyone – regardless of any previous yoga experience you may or may not have! We’ll be practising a slow “flow” style of yoga, so you can expect to be continuously moving for most of the class, but at a pace slow enough that you won’t need to worry about keeping up! You can also expect short breathing and meditation practices to be woven into this class, and of course, don’t forget about savasana (relaxation time!). The aim is for you to gradually build some extra strength and mobility, while at the same time melting away the tension of the day, and giving yourself the opportunity to recharge and take care of you. Class sizes adhere to current ACT Government COVID-19 venue restrictions. COST • $15 per class, or $10 per class for holders of seniors or student cards Or take advantage of these offers: • Purchase 5 classes in advance and receive $5 discount off the usual price, ie. $70 or $45 for seniors/student card holders (non-refundable and non-transferable) • Purchase 10 classes in advance and receive $15 discount off the usual price, ie. $135 or $85 for seniors/student card holders (non-refundable and non-transferable). That’s a class for free! INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS What to bring – A yoga mat, a water bottle, comfortable and non-restrictive clothing including a layer for warmth. Other yoga props optional (blocks, bolsters etc). Parking and entry – Free parking is available at The Link building on McClymont Way, off Pro Hart Avenue, Strathnairn. Class entry is at the side of the building facing the McClymont Way parking area. Terms and conditions – All new participants must complete and sign a registration and waiver form prior to their first class. If you are a new student, I will email this form to you for you to complete and send back prior to the class. This allows me time to consider any special needs or modifications you might need or ask you any follow-up questions, so that I can provide a safe space for you to practice in. Please arrive approx. 5-10 mins early to your first class so we can meet and have a chat. All participants must inform the teacher as soon as possible of any changes to their health, wellbeing or ability to participate in the class. THE FINE PRINT Bookings that are cancelled more than 3 hours prior to the start of the class will be entitled to either a refund or a credit for a subsequent class of the same value (if available). Booking cancellations that are received within 3 hours of the start of the class will be considered a “change of mind” and only entitled to a credit for a subsequent class of the same value, not a refund. In the instance that the regular teacher is unexpectedly unable to take a planned class, every effort will be made to find a substitute teacher. If a class needs to be cancelled by the teacher, participants who have already booked and paid will be entitled to their preference of either a refund of their booking fee or a credit for a subsequent class of the same value.
