Ginninderry in demand: Buyers snap up more than 60 blocks in Strathnairn Stage 2 land release

More than 60 residential blocks in the new suburb of Strathnairn were sold by ballot over the weekend following a successful sales campaign that saw significant interest from buyers looking to become part of the high-profile new community of Ginninderry in West Belconnen.

Ginninderry Project Director Steve Harding said interest in the ballot had exceeded expectations and demonstrated that the work his team are doing on building a genuinely sustainable, connected and future proofed neighbourhood was resonating with Canberrans.

“It was great to see such a strong start to sales in Stage 2 with more than 60 blocks sold on the first day and I think that reflects the growing interest we’re seeing across the board.”

“After many years of planning, it is pleasing to see such a positive response from people looking to become part of the Ginninderry story and we look forward to working with our buyers to deliver on our vision.”

Harding said interest in the Ginninderry project was increasing ahead of the first residents moving in later this year.

“Civil works for Stage 1 are now nearing completion, construction of our display village is well underway and our first buyers will settle this month and begin to move in by the end of the year so the momentum is strong.”

Blocks in stage two are located next to the Community Recreation Park with 2.7 hectares of open space including recreation areas, walking trails, modern playgrounds, BBQ spaces and an impressive amphitheatre.

Blocks offered in this release range between 250 and 810 square metres and are priced from $204,560 to $478,360. Land in Stage 2 is still available and those interested in this release can talk to a member of the Ginninderry sales team at The Link – open seven days a week.
