Want to get qualified in childcare?

A Children’s Education and Care training and employment opportunity will soon be on offer in West Belconnen, run by Belconnen Community Service ACT in conjunction with the Canberra Institute of Technology.

The course will deliver training towards a recognised Early Childhood Education and Care Certificate as well as provide a range of other training opportunities relevant to the sector, rounding off by offering employment pathways with a local employer.

Julie Gorell , Senior Advisor: People & Culture at Belconnen Community Service said that beyond the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, the course will equip participants with the experience and skills they will need to work in the early childhood education setting.

“The qualification will open up a career in itself, or act as a building block toward further education,” Julie said.

“Anybody who enjoys working with children and wants to help children reach their potential should come along to our information session.”

The information session will be followed by eligibility selection at Belconnen Community Centre Theatre on Tuesday 31 May 2016, from 10:30am-12:30pm.

Call us today on (02) 6255 1173 to reserve your spot at the information session.

Anyone looking to take part in the training must attend.

The opportunity is sponsored by SPARK Training and Employment and is a key component of the West Belconnen residential development, being project managed by Riverview Projects in partnership with the ACT Government.
