Kippax Connections

Kippax Connections is a new program to support members of the West Belconnen community connect to a range of education, volunteering, training and/or employment opportunities.

The “student centred” approach will ensure that a customised pathway for each participant is developed based on their own personal goals and aspirations.

The program will involve:

  • Numeracy and literacy tutoring
  • Mentoring to support the participants connect to volunteering, education, training and job opportunities
  • Group sessions to assist with the development of social connections with the local community
  • An individual customised pathway plan and support with the implementation of the plan
  • Financial counselling and budgeting assistance

This program will commence on Monday 21st March 2016 and run till Nov 2016.  The program will consist of individual and group sessions as well as a range of activities as agreed by each participant.

Please note that eligibility criteria apply.

There is a 1 hour information session on Monday 21st March 2016 at 2pm.

Kippax Connections is being delivered at West Belconnen in partnership with Uniting Care Kippax and Ginninderry Joint Venture as part of the Spark Training and Employment Initiative.

The Spark Training and Employment Initiative is a key component of the Ginninderry l development being project managed by Ginninderry Joint Venture in partnership with the Land Development Agency.  This initiative will work in collaboration with local stakeholders, agencies and territory and federal departments to develop a range of engagement, education, training and employment pathways for local people within the West Belconnen and Belconnen region.
