GX Artist Profile: Kim Shannon

Kim Shannon lives and works in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. She is an active member of the Bowral Art Society and as well as participating in exhibitions she passes on her considerable skills in running painting classes. Kim also runs weekend painting workshops in Yass, the next scheduled for October 2020.

The artist’s recent solo exhibitions include More Than Shadows (Milk Factory Gallery, Bowral, November 2019); and Then and Now – More than a decade (The Link Exhibition Space, Ginninderry).

In October 2020 Strathnairn Arts has scheduled a solo exhibition in Galleries 1 and 2 of the Homestead. Group exhibitions include the 2019 and 2020 Summer Exhibition (Milk Factory Gallery, Bowral); All things great are small (Old Library, Bowral, 2019) and exhibitions with the Bowral Art Society.

Shannon’s delightful and beautifully executed still-life paintings add vibrance and colour to the GX Display Village and her works can be viewed online in the GX Arts Trail catalogue and seen in the Flexi-livng display home, Adapt.
