DA approval granted for Ginninderry Stage 1

Stage 1 of the Ginninderry project’s first suburb of Strathnairn has received Development Application (DA) approval, paving the way for the commencement of construction.

Following two sales releases across the second quarter of 2017, civil work construction is now planned to commence in September, while construction of the display village will begin in late 2017/early 2018.

Stage 1 of the Ginninderry project, a joint venture between the ACT Government and Riverview Developments, is offering 350 dwellings consisting of a mix of land, flexi-living and house and land packages.

86% of flexi-living homes and blocks of land have sold in the first two sales releases, with only a handful of dwellings remaining available.

The new suburb of Strathnairn will be the first in the master planned community of Ginninderry that will evolve over the next 30 years.

Ginninderry will consist of four suburbs – three in the ACT and one in New South Wales (subject to rezoning approval), with the first of these being Strathnairn and Macnamara.

With the potential to deliver up to 11,500 new homes accommodating about 30,000 people, it will set a new benchmark in liveability by building a community that provides diverse, affordable and inclusive places to live, work and play.
