SPARK Enrolment Session: JobTrainer Early Childhood Education & Care Program

SPARK in partnership with North Belconnen Community Association Inc., The Y Canberra, Capital Region Community Services and Canberra Institute of Technology will again be delivering this award winning program focusing on skills development, work experience and employment within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. 

The information session will provide individuals with advice on eligibility criteria, program content and the commitment that is required to be selected as a participant on this program. 

Please note; those individuals who wish to be considered for this program MUST be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide evidence of vaccinations. Individuals MUST also have applied for a Working With Vulnerable People card and produce the receipt before being offered a place on the program. 

Targeting people living within Belconnen and the wider Canberra Community, this program will provide participants with: 

  • A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113) upon successful completion. 
  • First Aid Certificate in Early Childhood Settings. 
  • Industry specific training designed in partnership with the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. 

Potential employment pathway opportunities and sector based work experience placements. 

Commencing Monday 7 March 2022, this 8 month program will run 4 days per week (Mon – Thurs, 30 hours per week) and be a combination of theory, practical hands on learning and sector work placement.
