Building New Futures: SPARK’s Construction Taster Program for Migrants and Refugees
The Construction Taster Program for Migrants and Refugees was delivered by the Ginninderry SPARK Training & Employment Initiative in collaboration with CIT, Neoen, The Umbrella Collective, UnitingCare Kippax, Multicultural Hub Canberra, and the Capital Local Jobs Program.
Over nine weeks, participants gained accredited training, explored industry pathways, and developed practical skills in a supportive environment tailored to their needs. The program not only introduced participants to a variety of construction trades but also provided invaluable insights into Australian workplace culture and opportunities for work experience with industry partners.
This below video and photos captures the energy, teamwork, and achievement of the program as participants took their first steps towards building new careers in construction.
Congratulations to everyone to successfully completed the course and all the very best for the future.
