Ginninderry First Nations Reference Group

Expressions of Interest Now Open

Ginninderry is seeking First Nations representatives with diverse skills and expertise who can consider how the project can contribute to the opportunities and wellbeing of First Nations communities in the Capital Region.

The Ginninderry Joint Venture (GJV) is establishing the Ginninderry First Nations Reference Group (GFNRG) to contribute to the delivery of initiatives to acknowledge, support and provide community, economic and environmental opportunities for First Nations communities arising from the Ginninderry development project.

Ginninderry is seeking expressions of interest from members who can contribute their expertise to represent all First Nations communities in the Capital region. The GFNRG will be an opportunity to shape development outcomes to improve community, economic, and environmental outcomes arising from the Ginninderry project.

The GFNRG will be a skills-based group that will provide advice that couples specific experience and expertise with an understanding and focus on issues and opportunities for First Nations communities.

The following areas of expertise and experience are being sought:

  • Community services
  • Business
  • Cultural heritage values management
  • Peak body experience in an ACT peak social service organisation
  • Environmental conservation
  • Planning and design
  • Finance
  • Arts and Culture
  • Youth (under 25 years).

Members are required to participate as individuals with their own expertise and experience rather than as representatives of organisations
