Flexi-living Homes: Sustainable design meets affordable home ownership
When it comes to your home, there is no one-size-fits-all. That’s why Ginninderry has launched another release of Flexi-living Homes – thoughtfully designed residences that give you the freedom to actually live, combining sustainable design with low-maintenance living.
This latest release offers two and three-bedroom designs that put lifestyle first, making homeownership accessible whilst delivering the sustainability features Ginninderry is known for.
What makes Flexi-living Homes different
Flexi-living Homes are efficiently designed – prioritising smaller footprints and intelligent design over wasted space. With each home being individually titled (no body corporate) – the homes offer townhouse style living, without the ongoing costs of strata fees. The result? Greater energy efficiency, less money spent on running costs and maintenance, and more time for the things that really matter. Or as we like to say: a new way of living.
Part of something bigger
Your Flexi-living Home at Ginninderry will be part of a sustainable community accredited by the Green Building Council of Australia as Canberra’s first 6 Star Green Star Community. Ginninderry has received world recognition for demonstrating international best practice in livability and urban design.
That accreditation represents genuine commitment to sustainable development through smaller footprints, intelligent design, energy efficiency, and reduced running costs.
Who’s eligible?
To purchase a Flexi-living Home, you must meet the following criteria:
- The Applicant/Buyer must be an individual aged 18 years or older; and
- The Applicant/Buyer and their Domestic Partner must not own any real property (including in other states/territories of Australia or overseas) either alone or jointly with anyone at the contract date; and
- At least one Applicant/Buyer intends to occupy the home for a continuous period of at least 3 years, beginning within the first year of settlement and must not rent the home before occupying it; and
- The Applicant/Buyer does not intend to sell the home for a minimum of 3 years from the date of settlement
These requirements ensure the homes go to genuine homebuyers looking to establish themselves in the property market – rather than going to investors.
Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme
Flexi-living Homes also qualify under the Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme, making it possible to secure your home with just a 5% deposit and no Lenders Mortgage Insurance.
Separate eligibility criteria applies for this scheme – but for eligible buyers, this removes one of the biggest barriers to homeownership – that seemingly impossible deposit hurdle. Instead of saving 20% whilst prices keep rising, you can enter the market sooner with just a 5% deposit.
