Ginninderry’s vision for sustainability

Since work first began in 2009, Ginninderry has been planned as a sustainable community.

Together with new residents of Ginninderry, we will work to create a community that showcases the world’s best practice in nature conservation, urban design, construction and long-term liveability.

Our aim is for Ginninderry to be an exemplar project, both nationally and internationally, with its community proud of its place in the capital region.

My vision for sustainability at Ginninderry is about creating a better place, not only environmentally but socially and economically.

For me, it’s about education. It’s about teaching people how to make the most of the things that they have.

It’s about reducing ongoing energy costs and the water sensitive urban design.

It’s about creating community gardens where people can grow their own food.

Ginninderry is about creating a community where you and your children can thrive. You can find out more about sustainability at Ginninderry here.
