Nature Through the Lens: Adrian Fallace Exhibition Opens at The Link

  • Row Image

Renowned local photographer Adrian Fallace brings his distinctive vision of natural beauty to Ginninderry in a compelling new exhibition running from 4 February to 16 March, 2024.

The showcase, hosted at The Link in Strathnairn, features a carefully curated collection of landscape, nature, and astrophotography that captures the essence of our regional surroundings.

Fallace, who has built his reputation over 14 years as one of Canberra’s premier wedding photographers, applies his unique design philosophy to this exhibition: “by not filling the frame with too much information – but enough that the viewer can read a story when looking deep into the photo.”

This minimalist approach allows viewers to engage deeply with each image, discovering their own narratives within the carefully composed frames.

The exhibition demonstrates Fallace’s versatility as a photographer, moving from his well-known wedding work to explore the quiet majesty of natural landscapes and celestial phenomena. His experience in capturing intimate moments translates beautifully to nature photography, where patience and timing are equally crucial to capturing the perfect shot.

“My approach to photography, whether it’s weddings or landscapes, has always been about finding those special moments that might otherwise go unnoticed,” explains Fallace.

This sensitivity to detail and ability to fade into the background – a skill honed through years of wedding photography – allows him to capture nature in its most authentic state.

The exhibition showcases images taken throughout the Canberra region and surrounding areas, inviting viewers to see familiar landscapes through a new lens, and build a deeper appreciation of the natural beauty that surrounds us.
