Summer Party in the Park: Celebrate before school starts!
Before the school bells ring and work routines kick back in, join us for one final summer celebration at Paddys Park on Saturday 31 January.
From 4pm to 8pm, Summer Party in the Park is our chance to farewell the holidays in style, gathering as a community to enjoy great entertainment, local food, and warm weather before life gets busy again, and did we mention entry is FREE?!
What’s On
Local musicians will be providing the perfect soundtrack and entertainment for a relaxed summer evening. The kids are well catered for with engaging activities designed to squeeze every last drop of fun from the holidays, including face painting where they can transform into tigers, butterflies, or superheroes, whatever their imagination dreams up!
There’s also a fantastic opportunity to meet local heroes from the emergency services and check out fire trucks, ambulances, and police vehicles up close.
And if you’re feeling peckish? Local food vendors will be serving everything from dinner to sweet treats, so you can support local businesses whilst enjoying food you didn’t have to cook, which is always a win at the end of school holidays!
Local performers include Dan and Magnifique, Maddy P, Canberra Symphony Orchestra and Kingsford Smith School, and Special K.
What to bring:
- Picnic blankets or low chairs for comfortable seating
- Sun protection (hats, sunscreen)
- Light jumpers for when it cools down later
- Water bottles to stay hydrated
- BYO is welcome, however this is a family friendly event.
Summer Party in the Park is FREE to attend, ensuring all Ginninderry families can join in the fun. It’s part of our commitment to building genuine community through regular events that bring residents together.
