To enable construction works to proceed safely, from Monday 29 June 2026 there will be no pedestrian access at the current roundabout on William Hovell Drive, Drake-Brockman Drive and Kingsford Smith Drive. View full update from Infrastructure Canberra which outlines pedestrian detour information.

Funding: $107.25 million, jointly funded by the Australian and ACT governments.
4.5 kilometres of William Hovell Drive will be duplicated from Drake-Brockman Drive to John Gorton Drive.
The project will improve safety, travel times and relieve congestion for road users.
