Looking for an affordable outing close by? Ginninderry has something for everyone, with good food and activities the whole family can get involved in. Here’s how to experience the best of what Ginninderry has to offer.

Start with breakfast at Cafe Stepping Stone

Set the tone for the day with a yummy breakfast at Cafe Stepping Stone. The cafe’s commitment to locally grown produce and ethical sourcing means your morning coffee and pastry come with genuine purpose. Find a spot inside by the fire looking up at artworks by locals, or sit outside in the sun on one of their many outdoor tables.

A walk through the Ginninderry Conservation Corridor

Now you’ve had your breakfast, it’s time to explore!

The Ginninderry Conservation Corridor’s 14-plus kilometres of walking tracks offer something for every fitness level and mood. Choose a route that suits you: a shorter loop if you’re after a stroll, or a full journey to the Murrumbidgee River if you’re up for a serious adventure.

On your way, you’ll spot native wildlife and plants and stunning views of the Brindabella Mountains.

Explore Strathnairn Arts

After your walk, pop into Strathnairn Arts and peruse the current exhibitions in the Homestead galleries, or explore the artist studios if they’re open. Think pottery, textiles, sculptors and painters, with some pieces available for purchase in the Strathnairn Arts store by Cafe Stepping Stone.

Take the kids to Paddys Park

You can’t head out to Ginninderry without visiting one of the iconic kids’ playgrounds. Paddys Park has shaded areas for sitting, water access, plenty of unique play equipment, and open spaces for throwing a footy or lying back and watching the clouds.

There are also bike tracks running around and through Paddy’s Park, so the kids can go for a spin on their bikes as well!
