Ginninderry has announced the opening of its annual Community Grants and Sponsorship Programs for 2025, offering local organisations and community members the opportunity to bring their innovative ideas to life.

With a combined funding pool of $60,000, these programs aim to foster community development, environmental sustainability, and industry partnerships throughout the Capital Region.

Building Stronger Communities

The Community Grants program, featuring a $10,000 funding pool, seeks to empower residents to enhance their neighbourhood through creative and engaging initiatives.

Local residents are encouraged to think creatively about projects that could benefit their community, from establishing a street pantry to organising a community trivia night or creating public art installations.

The program is designed to support a wide range of activities that bring people together and strengthen neighbourhood connections.

Expanding Regional Impact

The Sponsorship Grants program offers a substantial $50,000 funding pool for initiatives across three key areas:

  • Community support and development
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Industry partnerships.

Previous recipients have included sporting clubs, community organisations, art programs, and sustainability initiatives, demonstrating the diverse range of projects that can benefit from this funding opportunity.

How to Apply

Organisations and individuals interested in applying for either program should note the following key dates:

  • Applications close: 5 pm, 28 March 2025
  • Decision notifications: 18 April 2025

The grants team is looking for projects that build capacity, encourage participation, and promote partnerships that strengthen the community.

Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the vibrant future of Ginninderry and the broader Capital Region. Whether you have a small community project or a larger regional initiative in mind, these grants could help bring your ideas to fruition.
