On 1 September 2017, the West Belconnen Strategic Assessment (SA024) for the Ginninderry Joint Venture (JV) project was approved by a delegate of Minister Frydenberg, Commonwealth Minister for the Environment and Energy, an important environmental milestone which, together with the necessary planning approvals will allow urban development to proceed.
SPARK, Ginninderry’s training and employment initiative, will launch three new programs in spring to provide more workplace opportunities for the Belconnen community.

Ginninderry yesterday announced a new community partnership with the Belconnen Magpies Football Club (BMFC). Ginninderry’s corporate sponsorship will see the joint venture become naming rights sponsor for the Belconnen Cats and Magpies Junior Football Club Auskick programs, along with the BMFC youth girls’ football program.
Ginninderry has taken out a commendation in the Planning Institute of Australia’s (PIA’s) 2017 national awards for Public Engagement and Community Planning, recognising their ongoing commitment to effective stakeholder and community engagement.
Following the high level of demand across the first five days of registrations at Ginninderry, an additional 23 blocks of land have been added as part of the first sales release at Strathnairn.
