Not even rain mid-show could put a dampener on Ginninderry’s family-friendly celebration –  Summerfest, which was a fantastic evening of live music, dance and theatre performances. The event was kicked off by Minister Yvette Berry with Ginninderry’s Sustainability Manager Jessica Stewart doing a great job as MC and keeping the night on the track. It was wonderful to see so many families settle in for the evening and children exploring the open space around The Link.

A special thank you to all of our local artists who entertained the crowd, both outdoors and indoors!

  • Ben Drysdale’s Band
  • Simone Penkethman
  • Play The Dance Agency
  • Collective Theatre
  • Fan Dancers
  • With one Voice Ginninderry
  • Matthew Arnaudon
  • Twice the Spice

Summerfest would also not have been possible without the wonderful volunteers from Belconnen Community Service who took carriage of drink refreshments and also Two Before Ten were kept very busy ensuring there was an ongoing supply of jaffles for the crowd.

We are also delighted that almost $1,800 was raised to support cancer patients in the ACT with donations still being accepted by Belconnen Community Service at 26 Chandler Street Belconnen.

Here are a few photos from the night which kicked on indoors after the rain set in!
