When International Rotary President, Ian H S Riseley, issued a challenge to every Rotarian to plant a tree each by earth day, April 2018, the local Rotary clubs committed resources into creating a nature grove at Strathnairn.
Rather than individually planting trees, the Rotary clubs of Ginninderra and Belconnen joined together to plant their trees as a grove within the Strathnairn Arts Association borders. This will grow and form a corridor around Strathnairn’s perimeter.
Both clubs came together on Thursday night to unveil the plaque which identifies the grove and symbolizes their partnership in this project.
