Step into Botanical Art – Free customised art tuition open to all, bookings essential

Would you love to learn how to bring your artwork to life or to gain the ability to draw and paint with accuracy? Enter a space where art and plants intertwine! Join us in classes where artist and teacher Margaret Saul offers this opportunity in friendly, informal “pop-in” art sessions.

Margaret has designed step-by-step instructions over many years and can customize these current sessions so that each participant can be assured of progress, whether at an introductory level or one that covers more advanced art concepts and techniques.

Instruction provides guidance in traditional and novel techniques to aid progress in close-up observational drawing, colour mixing, brush skills, painting techniques, and creating captivating compositions, as well as planning a creative process. Included during the session is opportunity to prebook a personal 20 minute time slot for one-on-one guidance, including helpful tips on any work-in-progress. Practical demonstrations, class notes, and exercise sheets are provided as needed.

Margaret thoroughly enjoys sharing and volunteering her expertise in illustration using pencil, pen, or brush—skills honed during four years of traditional art school education and thirty years of experience as a natural science illustrator and botanical artist. Having developed a passion for teaching in this field of art since 1978, Margaret founded two successful botanical art and illustration schools in Australia and the USA.
