By Ginninderry Project Team
Date
10 Sep 2019 - 21 Oct 2019

The exhibition from Gungahlin College at Ginninderry is comprised of 26 artists who are studying year 11 and 12 students from Gungahlin College. Students studied a number of courses including Photography, Visual Art and Ceramics. Units studied include: Photography Practice, Contemporary Photography, Drawing, and Ceramic Hollow Forms. For some students, this was their first time using semi-professional cameras, industry-standard printers, kilns, and their first time painting and using clay.

Gungahlin College is a campus-based in the heart of Gungahlin. It has a vibrant community of over a thousand students, with the largest graduating cohort of the ACT in 2018. Within the Visual Arts department, there are 106 students studying Visual Art, 95 students studying Photography and 50 students studying Ceramics. The teachers include Alison Moulang, Marianne Mettes, and Louise Pinder, assisted by Lindsay Timmiss.

The exhibition will run from 10 September until 21 October, with an opening on Saturday the 21st of September at 2:30 pm. There will be a light afternoon tea provided and a visit from Minister Gordan Ramsay. Simultaneously, there will be an Open Day next door at Strathnairn Arts, so it will be a great day out for the whole family!
