Songs from my grasslands

“Songs from my grasslands” is a project born from the synaesthetic collaboration of two local artists sharing their mutual passion for arts.
The Grasslands are the special headspace where Akka Ballenger Constantin spends a lot of her time, wandering with a camera in her hand. Many of her images and poems have been inspired by the beauty of the Canberran landscapes.
Harvey Welsh found inspiration in Akka’s poems and responded with music and paintings specially created for each of the 10 poems he chose.
This exhibition will showcase images and paintings that complement the 10 tracks of the “Songs from my grasslands” CD, which will be launched at the same time with the exhibition opening.
