Four ways to support your community this Christmas
While 2021 has certainly had its fair share of challenges, there is much to celebrate as we look ahead to the festive season and reflect on the communities we have been fortunate enough to have been a part of, and supported by, in 2021.
For many, we know Christmas can be a tough time, so we have rounded up some ways to be someone’s spark this Christmas and give back to your local community thanks to Ginninderry’s community partners.
Uniting Care Kippax

Canberra City Care
Canberra City Care’s Community Christmas Hampers will be providing essential food items to families this Christmas. The initiative, involving many community groups, will aim to produce and distribute 400 hampers, filled with special Christmas treats, to those in need. Each hamper or gift is valued at $50. Physical donations can be dropped off at Canberra City Care during opening hours or via the ‘Give’ section on the Canberra City Care websites by nominating the option of Community Christmas Hampers.

Helping ACT are preparing food hampers to meet the needs of those from diverse backgrounds with specific dietary requirements. Hampers will be delivered to The Early Morning Centre of the Uniting Church and Havelock House.
